About Tyler
Tyler Cadieux is a passionate writer/actor from London, Ontario, currently seeking representation. Tyler recently graduated on the President's Honour Role from Fanshawe College's Acting for Screen and Stage program. He's appeared in over 30 student-led productions and is dedicated to bringing a one-of-a-kind flare to every role and a positive energy to every project.
"No matter how many years I've wanted it, or how hard I worked in school, there's a certain degree of luck that comes with being a 'successful' actor. That luck only increases in necessity the more I define 'success' by how much money I'm bringing in from doing it. But if I define success on my own terms based on the projects I've been a part of, the people I've worked with, and the fulfillment it's brought me... then I am most definitely a successful actor.
It's a shame that the definition of satisfaction is so intertwined with having a full wallet, especially working in the arts where you might find the most satisfaction combined with the emptiest wallet. The phrase 'Make your own work.' was tossed around a lot during my time at Fanshawe, and this felt impossible to do when I was defining 'work' by a paycheque.
There came a time where I had to stop saying 'Make my own work.' and instead say 'Make my own art.' This helped me change my motivation from satisfaction in my career to fulfillment in my soul... cliché, right? But being driven by my heart instead of my bills has yielded what I believe to be my best work."
